We're a young
family just starting our lives together... but we're already
enjoying every second of it. We currently live in Linglestown,
PA. The direct family includes Kristin Sanders, Nathan Sanders,
Lyla Sanders, and Nolan Franklin Lee Sanders (our newest addition to the family). Below is just a
little bit of background about our family.
Kristin Sanders, born in 1984, is
a wonderful mother of one. She worked at Kinder Care daycare and
is attending college at Harrisburg Area Community College for
Nursing. In roughly a year she will be a Registered Nurse
which we are all sure she will excel at. Kristin grew up in Linglestown, PA and went to high school at
Central Dauphin. After high school she attended Harrisburg Area
Community College followed by
Midway University in Kentucky where she earned her Bachelors Degree in
Equine Therapy.
Nathan Sanders, born in 1984, is the
proud father of one and is lucky to be the husband of Kristin.
He currently works at CenturyLink as a technical support
technician. He's been doing this work since August 2007. Nathan
grew up in Hershey, PA and went to high school at Lower Dauphin,
graduating in 2003. He then attended Harrisburg Area Community
College for Computer Networking Technology. Nathan earned his
Associates degree in 2007 and started working in the field for
CenturyLink shortly after.
We were married May 17th, 2008 at
the Hershey Gardens (link
to it here).
Nolan Franklin Lee Sanders is our very loved and
adored baby boy. He joined our family on October 3rd, 2010.
Nolan was born at Harrisburg Hospital and was a healthy 19
inches tall and weighed 6 pounds 7 ounces. We are thrilled to
finally be able to hold him and look forward to many, many years
of sharing our lives with him and watching him grow. It is our first child and the entire family
is very excited to share our lives and love with him. While we
call him many things, his most popular nickname by far is
"butter". Others include Mr. Nolan, Noley Nole, Love, baby boy,
and handsome. Below are some milestones. We'll add to them as
they happen.
Week 2 - Started sleeping 7+ hours
through the night.
Month 3 - Started rolling himself
over.
Month 6 - Started eating baby food
and hasn't looked back since. He is also mastering the army
crawl on his belly.
Month 7 - Gave up army crawling and
really started moving now. He can't walk but he can crawl pretty
quick and the normal way now.
Month 8 - Started walking while
holding onto things and he can stand up and sit back down like a
pro. Every now and then he stands up and lets go of whatever
he's using for balance. He can hold it there for a bit before he
falls. He's also trying to climb up the steps (*heart attack*)
Month 10 - Started walking without
holding onto things. He takes two steps or so before he gets a
bit too wobbly and has made it up to about 10 steps without
falling. He really gets around now crawling, in his walking
seat, and walking! He also has his first couple teeth coming in!
Month 11 - Nolan is doing great at
walking now and is starting to work on running to get around
quicker. He's falling a lot now but I'm sure he'll catch on
quick.
Month 12 - Nolan is a year old! If
you ask what sounds they make he can do monkey noises, pig
noises, and turkey noises. He also doesn't fall much anymore
when he's walking or running and can build a 4 block tower with
wood blocks.
Month 14 - Butter is doing great
walking and running now. He's also climbing and keeps himself
very busy getting into anything and everything he wants to. He's
starting to pick up on words. He says "wawa" for water, "da da"
for dad, "my ma ma ma" for Kristin, and is trying to talk more
and more. He's also learning his colors and points to things
when you ask him where they are... like his tummy, the sun, his
toes, the dogs, etc.
